Here are a few things not necessarily worth mentioning but because it’s my blog, and that’s the title of it, I’m going to mention them anyway

Apparently 6 strombolis may be a bit too much for the faint of stomach. Apparently SOME neighbors (Mr. Zinfandel and Awesome Neighbor Lady) had a touch of heartburn. Wimps. I ate 8 pieces and felt great. The pants may have been a bit tight the next morning but I felt fantastic.

Sunday night’s episode of The Sopranos SUCKED. Good thing I had other things to do while watching it. Like digesting 8 pieces of stromboli.

Four year olds nowadays are into Princesses. My niece thinks she is one and always wears a crown, usually made of paper. Wow, is she ever going to be in for a surprise when she realizes that although we are English, and her Grandfather has an accent, we really aren’t related to the Royal Family.

Having a family picture taken with you in it 10 minutes after you come in from working in the garden and after your Mother has said you smell isn’t going to get the best facial expressions out of you. Announcing to the family that you want to take a family picture RIGHT NOW isn’t a good idea when the Granddaughter is about to go to bed, the daughter smells and you don’t know how to use the timer on the camera.

If you’re going to spend a zillion dollars on some fancy ass iPod video thing to use while commuting on the train in the morning, spend an extra $10 and get good headphones. No, I really don’t want to hear whatever the hell it is you’re watching.

I have figured out a way to get my patio built, new windows put in AND the house painted all without whoring myself out on a corner in North Philly. Well, at least not as much as I did when I needed the down payment for the house.

Per Train Guy’s original thought and now confirmed by me, Fiji brand bottled water really does taste better than Poland Spring. Why?

Shifting gears, rolling down the windows, waving to a neighbor and yelling at the dogs to “STOP BARKING!” does not make me a safe driver. But at least I wasn't on the phone and putting on make-up too!

Looking out the kitchen window on Tuesday evening and noticing that my dear friend M had three eight foot trees planted in my yard without telling me and having it give me as much pleasure as it did reminds me that I really need to get out more. But it was an awesome surprise!

Best phrase heard this morning on the local news: Guy being interviewed: “When I think about it, it’s always on my mind.” No comment necessary.

All over the place, so you covered a lot of ground here. Good stuff.

Good luck with the house painting ... and repairs.
